• Advised and represented local clients at the Malaysian High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court on claims involving hull and machinery and cargo policies.

• Advised and drafted documentation involving the sale and purchase of ships, loan documentation and registration of ships and mortgage.

Yong Chee Kong was called to the Bar in 1995. His principal areas of practice are Corporate Law and Shipping and Maritime Law.

He also has vast experience in Banking, Finance and Construction Law. In the course of his law career, he has advised shipping companies, developers, financial instructions and other corporate entities on shipping disputes, development projects, projects financing, mergers, takeovers and acquisitions of corporate entities.

As a litigation lawyer, he appears frequently in the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Federal Court.

He is a registered Patent, Trade Marks and Industrial Design agent and a duly appointed Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public. He also serves as a member of the Bar Council Disciplinary Committee and has chaired numerous disciplinary investigations involving members of the Bar.

Yap Kim Chee was called to the Bar in 1998. Her principal areas of practice are Real Property Law, Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Rights.

Over the years, she has advised both local as well as foreign clients on property transactions and financing, and the protection of Intellectual Property Rights. She also conducts due diligence on corporate entities for merger, acquisition and listing purposes, as well as advises foreign clients on compliances with regard to Malaysian laws and regulations.
